Last Friday, 8Th of June, there was an amazing event - Longest Fashion Show in Baltic States which was held on K. Barona street in Riga, Latvia. If you follow me on twitter then you probably know how excited I was before the show and how happy I was after. The event started at the crossroad where Merķela meets K.Barona and went all the way till United Colors of Benetton.
The fashion show was a total of 1.5 km. Don't freak out, I know your thoughts at the moment - "OMG, those poor models". The red carpet was obviously not all 1.5km, because that would obviously have disturbed everyone else from going where they ought to. They had red carpets placed every 300m approximately and two groups of models who had to switch from one red carpet to the next. I'll say this much, they sure did have a crazy walk in those heels back and forth. Therefore, I would like to say thumbs up to the ladies for not falling through.
There were so many lovely models in bright outfits of different styles. They had their hair and makeup done as well and they all looked absolutely stunning.
I am so glad to have attended this event. If you missed the show and the lovely outfits, here are some pictures.
I like the beige/brown on black looks, and those of you who saw my post on Bee-you-tiful would know I like the yellow on black look a lot. She looks a lot like a boss lady in the picture below.
I like this look as well. I think it is a comfortable look which is a bit sporty because of the white/orange/hot pink striped top and white shorts with the leather jacket, but then the white heels and the clutch give it a bit more of a feminine look. And her cat eye sun glasses are amazing. Aren't they?
The lady in a yellow top and jeans represents a total causal comfy every day look, will definitely be looking like that on some days this summer. The lady beside her is a good example of how to make a monotone outfit more interesting by adding just one more piece. In this case the colorful strip cardigan.
Now her I would call the glam queen. I like that a simple red maxi skirt was made into a very party look by adding a sparkly black jacket.
I like the red maxi and jean jacket. Although the red turban is not really my thing, I would totally rock an outfit like that. Oh and miss sunshine, she looks so bright and amazing and she was always smiling. I think the colorful headband on the hippy-like lady is very interesting.
I hope you all liked the pictures, and they gave you an insight of the lovely event.
What
do you think of their outfits? Could you do a 1.5km fashion show?
