Hello my darling readers, I hope you are having a great week. I have been missing out on outfit posts because outfits of the day are hard when you come home to cloudy skies or rain. But I will be sharing more of my outfits with you once it is back warm and sunny over here.
I was going through my closet on the weekend and came up with the idea for this post. These are 5 items {in no specific order} which I think every lady should definitely have for the warm sunny period.
1. Maxi skirt
This is one of my favourite pieces of clothing for the summer. I love the ones which are made of chiffon and have shorter inner skirt. It gives me the opportunity to look acceptable yet comfortable at work when worn with a blazer. I also sometimes like the fact that it hides my legs. I cannot tell you the number of times this skirt has saved me. Imagine it is so hot out you cannot imagine wearing jeans, you forgot to shave your legs in the morning {yes, we have those days} and you need to be out the house in 20minutes. Get the picture? Put on a blouse and a maxi skirt, do your makeup and your problem is solved.
2. Bikini
A bikini in a fun colour is a must! For me Bikini screams holiday/ fun/ sun bathing. Yes, I know it may seem that I am quite tanned as is, but I also get quite pale in the winter. I prefer my skin to have a warmer tone to it and that is why I sun bathe.
3. Cross-body bag
I cannot explain how essential these are for going out. During the summer, I go out and do things outdoors more often than in the winter. This is for no other reason than the fact that winters are very cold here and I just am not adapted to them. I take my cross-body bags when going out after work in the evenings, on weekends and bike riding.
4. Sandals
A cute pair of sandals is always important. Yes there are some of us who are heel queens but even we like to occasionally wear some flats. Days when you need to do a lot of running around or are just too tired to be bothered with heels, you can always go to a trusty pair of good sandals.
5. Collar sleeveless blouse
I have recently fallen in love with collared sleeveless blouses. Somehow I just don't seem to find the ones I can justify the purchase of. I have seen them in so many colours and designs I could go on and on. What I like about them is they give you the possibility to look sophisticated yet very stylish. You can wear them just as is or throw on a blazer and have a more office look to it. There are so many opportunities. I want to get my hands on these and start experimenting with outfits.
