Blue birds and boats

Last week we had some friends over from the UK for hub's birthday, so he decided to rent a car while they are here. I think they had a lot of fun visiting us, and we had a fab party on Friday. On Sunday, hubs took them to the airport and then we had the car for the rest of the day so we decided to play tourist and visited Pineda de Mar and Blanes.

I was feeling quite lazy on Sunday so I went for jeans and a top I recently got from Primark. The birds on the top are really cute, but it's still quite a simple shirt. So I decided to play it up with accessories. I chose this lovely scarf which was a gift from hub's aunt, and because my hair is getting slightly crazy and I ran out of ideas on how to style it, I decided to put it under a hat. Because we were going to beach/hill areas, I decided to wear flats so I'm comfortable climbing around and these plimsoles went well with the outfit. Lastly, I decided to take my new Michael Kors Jet Set Tote which was a birthday present from hubs.

Now a bit about our lovely trip. It took us less than an hour to get to Pineda de Mar from Barcelona, and we went straight for the beach. When I saw the boats at the beach, I knew it was the perfect spot for outfit photos. The only downside was that it was extremely sunny and I forgot my sunglasses in the car, so I couldn't look properly at the camera.
