I love all sorts of tech gadgets and I am glad to work with Mobilefun once again. Previously I reviewed the Olixar Encharge Portable Charger* from them and told you a bit about them. The more time I spend on their website, the more items I add to my wishlist. They are amazing, and I'd recommend you check them out. This time, I've chosen the Kitvision Escape HD5 Action Camera* because I missed out on the chance to film some underwater videos while in Malta, but I don't want to miss out anymore.

The Kitvision HD5 Action Camera is a small lightweight video camera with a 1.5 inch LCD screen great for carrying around when going on an adventure or on vacation. I really like that it has a screen as this gives you the opportunity to preview what you are recording and make sure the subject of the video is in range. The camera contains a rechargeable lithium battery which charges in a couple of hours and is good to go. It is said to have up to 90 minutes filming time at the highest resolution which is perfectly fine for me. You can insert a micro sd card up to 32GB and the camera films in HD 720p at 30fps. You can also take pictures with a 1.3MP resolution which sounds very low but it isn't bad when taking them outdoors in the sunlight.

The Kitvision Escape HD5 comes packed with quite a few accessories including:
- Waterproof case which can be used up to 30m underwater
- Helmet mount & straps for those who love skiing, snowboarding and others,
- Bike handlebar mount for cycling enthusiasts,
- Tripod mount and
- 2 Adhesive mounts.

Even though it's got a waterproof case, I was still slightly scared the first time I took it snorkelling {I can be clumsy and not close things properly}, but it was totally fine. I plunged it on my selfie stick and into the water I went. The camera has a built in microphone, but when the camera is in its waterproof case the sound gets slightly muffled as with all action cameras. So keep that in mind when recording. The colour of the video comes out slightly less accurate but still close to reality with this camera, although you will see some compression artifacts when filming movements.

The camera is very easy to use which makes filming while doing an activity a pleasure. The action cam is missing features such as bluetooth/ wifi which would have made filming and transferring content much easier. But for just £40, I think we can't expect to have it all. It is a decent camera that is worth the purchase if you're not up for spending hundreds on a gopro.

I am glad that now I can record my adventures and share them with you all. Stay tunned for a video from my snorkelling trips.

What do you think about this action camera?
