New In: Nails, Skincare and Hair

New in: Rimmel, Aussie, Hawaiian Tropic and more

I'll have to admit it has been a while I bought beauty products. The focus for the last few months has been to get my skin back to being better like it was last summer. I've been seeing the dermatologist and using the products he prescribes so I didn't want to try any new makeup or skincare. But a girl can never go very long without buying at least something new, so here is what I got this week.

Nail polishes

After seeing my friend in mint nail polish, I remembered how much I loved it in the summer and just needed to get one right away. I've gotten a bit of a tan already as the weather has been amazing, and the Rimmel 60 Seconds Super Shine Nail Polish by Rita Ori in Roll in the Grass looks so dreamy. Another confession here, painting my nails isn't exactly my strong suit. I barely have time during the week and as such I've been looking for a gel-like nail polish which holds at least 5 days and doesn't require a UV lamp. I tried the Catrice Ultra Stay & Gel Shine System, but that proved to be a disappointment so my search continued. Rimmel nail polishes seem to be nice, so as soon as I saw the Super Gel 2 Step System, I grabbed the last one in shade Angel Wing as if my life depended on it. Lastly, I picked up the Zensibility Limited Fashion Edition Nail Polish in Zensible Rose just because the packaging was so beautiful. Whenever there is a new limited edition from Catrice, I always find at least one item I fall in love with.

Haircare

If you're not yet up to date on my hair journey, then you'll have to catch up quickly by reading this post. I do a lot of conditioning and deep conditioning, but there isn't always time for it so I need a quick fix. I used the Aussie 3 Minute Miracle Conditioner while I was transitioning and it was amazing, so I've decided to try it out on my natural hair. I'll be sure to let you know how that goes.

Sunscreen

With the amount of sun we get, it is extremely important to wear sunscreen, especially when you're going to the beach. I tried the Garnier Clear Protect+ Spray SPF50 from a friend on my last tanning session and really liked it, but I'll save that for my body. Since my skin is really oily as is, I try to reach for oil-free products for my face, so I picked up the Hawaiian Tropic Silk Hydration Face Lotion SPF30. I'm really excited to try the face lotion this weekend because my face needs a bit more colour.

Have you tried any of these products? Let me know what you think.
