Current Eyebrow Routine

Ever since I started filling in my brows, I can't go out without doing it. I don't know what it is about brows, but they give you a totally different look, which I love. At some point in my life, thin eyebrows were cool and in the attempt to follow the trend, I may have overplucked {I know I'm not the only one}. Now that big full brows are all the hype (which I like a lot because it looks amazing with my fro), I have been regrowing my brows. I've used a few methods which I think are working, so maybe I'll put together a post on that later. For now, let's focus on filling our brows.

Step 1. Brush the brows

My eyebrows are quite rugged and uneven at the moment as I try to grow them out, but I've been able to work with them without a lot of fuss. I start off by giving them a good brush in the direction I want them to lay. 

Step 2. Fill in the brows

Last year, I switched from using an eyebrow pencil to mastering the art of brow gelcreams. I am currently using the MAC Fluidline Brow Gelcreme and loving the results. Most of the time, I use the Nanshy angled eyeliner brush. I start on the outer corners and work my way towards the middle. Once I get to where my brows start I blend upwards because this tends to give it the most natural look.

Step 3. Brush again

Brush through the brows using the same eyebrow brush in step 1 to blend the colour and give it a more natural look. Even though we'll tame the brows in the next step, I still never skip this step as I think the result differs.

Step 4. Apply a brow gel

This gives me the perfect brows which are always on fleek, and I love it. I can't believe it took me so long to try out eyebrow gels only because I was afraid I'd make a mess and look horrible. It isn't as difficult as it looks and the results are way better than using an eyebrow pencil.
