Goodbye 2017, 2018 Will Be Better (Plans, Dreams & Goals)

Merry Christmas Everyone! I hope you are all having an amazing holiday season filled with family fun and laughter. So well, there goes 2017. How do I feel about it? I'm not entirely sure. I have a weird feeling right now where I'm torn between not believing that 2017 is already over, and at the same time being glad that time went by so quickly and this year is finally almost done with.

Like every year, this year had its good and bad times. I'm grateful that this year I was able to change my job and move to a different position which suits me better and gives me the possibility to grow and learn everyday. Unfortunately, this year also brought some rough times, such as the end of an 8 year relationship. This year, I was able to see who my true friends are and I'm glad to have them around. Another positive outcome from this year is that I finally started focusing on myself and the things that I love. I've been working on my confidence and I'm feeling a lot more like me now. I've also been doing a fair bit of travelling & exploring, and with it I've gotten back into blogging and youtube.

I'm ready to welcome 2018, and all it has to offer. Here are a few things I'm looking forward to in 2018:

Blogging & Youtube

I'm hoping to get back into a schedule and post consistently on the blog. Now that I've changed the focus to Travel & Lifestyle, I feel a lot more motivated to blog, and have quite a few posts lined up. I've been feeling like the name "Style of Colours" doesn't fit properly with the new direction of the blog and as such I'm looking into changing it. There are still some technical bits I need to work out first, so I'll be sure to post an update of any changes.

I'm also looking forward to making youtube videos and getting better at it. Related to this, I'm hoping to get a mirrorless camera because travelling with the Canon 70D is just impossible, and the quality of images on my Lumix TZ57 is just not enough. I want a mirrorless camera that is smaller in size, takes great quality images in RAW and has a flip screen so I can use it for vlogging as well. I was looking at the a6000 but then found out the screen doesn't actually flip, but only tilts, so that's no longer an option. Maybe the Canon M6? Please leave me your suggestions.

Photography

I've been running my photography for about a year now, and in this time, I've improved quite a bit. Practice makes you better at the things you are passionate about and I look forward to seeing my photography grow next year. I'm planning to put together a few editorials and hopefully I'll get some photos published in a magazine. If you're visiting Barcelona, and need a photographer, be sure to get in touch. I'd also love your support online, so come give me a follow at @anebophotography and check out my portfolio.

Since I won't have another post up until it's 2018, I'd just like to wish you all a Happy New Year. I hope you all have an amazing time wherever you're going to spend it. I'm off to Andorra for a bit, and will be back in 2018.

What are your plans, dreams and goals for 2018?
