Today being New Year's Eve, we all want to look extra pretty. I would like to share some interesting ideas for the perfect new years outfit! This holiday season we are interested in LBD, LRD, Lace, Color-block and sequin (the
more sparkle, the better).
LBD – The Little Black Dress is a classic. The LBD can be in many different styles and is
appropriate for any occasion; it could be a floor length strapless evening gown
or a knee length semi-formal dress. Black can be worn with any color you like (red, pink, green, blue, gold, purple, silver
or any other color). You can pair up your black dress with different
accessories, some of which are also our favorite trends this holiday season–
sequin clutch or shoes, color-block clutch, shoes or jewelry, sparkly jewelry
and others you can think of. You just have to experiment and see what look you
like the most.
LRD – The Little Red Dress is the alternative to a LBD. It is
bright, bold and beautiful. You can pair
it up with some really nice accessories. You can go with simple black accessories
(shoes, a clutch etc.) or you could experiment a bit with some more interesting
pieces like a sequin clutch or shoes, some nice sparkly jewelry and so on. You
could also experiment with your lip color and decide which is more you - bold
red lips to match your dress or a neutral lip color.
SEQUIN – It’s New Year’s Eve and I’m sure we all want to look extra special. New Year’s
Eve is all about sparkle. Who says only celebrities can sparkle?! Everyone can
look like a celebrity for one night in an amazing sequin dress in whatever
color you like – gold, silver blue, green, ivory and many more colors to choose
from. You can also go with a pretty sequin top and some dark pants. Everyone
looks good in a sequin dress, beyonce in her gold floor length dress, or Eva
Longoria in a strapless knee length silver sequin dress. And if it’s cold out
where you are, you can always pair it up just like Sarah Jessica Parker paired
her zebra sequin dress with a white blazer.
If you choose to wear sequin, remember not to overdo it. By
wearing too much sparkle, you risk looking like a disco ball.
COLOR-BLOCK –
Color blocking is in this holiday season. There are many different ways you can
color-block, just experiment. I would advise taking baby steps if you have
never tried color-blocking. And don’t forget, it looks way better when only one
item of clothing is color-blocked. Be it your dress, top, bag, shoes or jewelry.
You don’t want people to think you are color blind, so play it safe.
I think I'm gonna go with my LBD and some sparkly accessories.
Happy New Year
dolls!!!
