Review: Help: Clear Skin

Hola guapas! You might already know by now, my skin isn't perfect. Actually, my skin is far from perfect. I've had acne for years and am constantly battling with it. So I'm always on the lookout for anything to improve my skin. When I was contacted regarding Help: Clear Skin* from Work With Water, I was excited to try it out and see what the results would be. I have never tried any such supplements and couldn't even imagined how they worked. I received 2 of the 14 sachet packs which makes it just enough for 4 weeks. Usually results should be seen after 4 - 6 weeks of taking the product.

The ingredients of the product include: Oligofructose which helps the body eliminate toxins that negatively affect the skin, Lactoferrin which possesses anti-inflamatory properties, High extract Aloe Vera which is great for healing and smoothing the skin and Zinc gluconate.

Help: Clear Skin is a powder substance which comes in a sachet of 3.5g each, which is the daily recommended dose. You can mix it into water, juice or even put it into your meal. I look 1 sachet a day without missing a single day in order to achieve the best results. The powder is pretty tasteless so it doesn't alter the taste of your food or drink, but it has a very slight sweet taste if tried separately. I mixed mine in about 250ml of water each day and drank it. Just be careful because once I used cold water and it clumped up and became quite difficult to dissolve. So I'd suggest mixing it into room temperature water, tea or soup.

The results for me weren't what I expected. The first 3 weeks were ok, but I wouldn't say my skin got clearer. But in the last week of taking the supplement, I experienced major breakout. I finished the last sachet and after about 2 weeks of taking care of my skin, my skin is a lot better.

Like with all products, it might work differently for different people, and even though it didn't work for me, I've seen reviews from other bloggers who had great results. Acne is due to different things, mine apparently is very hard to cure. Help: Clear skin is a bit pricey, but I think it is definitely worth a try.

Overall Summary
Price -  approx. £22.94 {14 sachet pack}
Likes - easy to take.
Dislikes - Pricey.
Verdict - I will not be taking this.

Have you tried this product? Did it work for you?

  1. I would love to give it a go just because things react differently with others BUT it's so hit and miss, I have had acne for about 7/8 years now and its so depressing :( xxx

    1. Yea, I think with acne, everything is sort of hit and miss. There are some products people swear by and I go ahead and try it and end up not very impressed. I've had mine for about the same time, it really is depressing. I'm always wishing someday it would all go away.

  2. Ooh it's such a shame these didn't work for you! I would love to try that but would be devastated if I had a major break out after trying out a new product that seemed to be working xx

    1. Yes, it's sad but with acne, most products you try may or may not be right for you. And you'll never know how it would work for your skin if you don't try it. x
